M.G. Abutaleb, President of MGA LLC, is a seasoned executive who has been involved in various segments of the telecommunications and aerospace industries since 1979. As an engineer and technical manager, he was engaged in the definition, development and implementation of advanced satellite and wireless communications products, networks and services. His career includes the formation of several start-ups that were organically built and grown and subsequently sold to public companies. With a strong sense of customer service, his businesses have prioritized the client’s objectives, developing innovative best-value solutions in response to unique application requirements.

In 1989, Abutaleb founded Innovative Communications Technologies, Inc. (ICTI). As president and CEO, he managed a 10-year systematic and progressive period of growth for this self-financed start-up, through the sale of ICTI to a publicly traded corporation in 1999. In 2003, he founded UltiSat and served as CEO through his retirement at the end of 2020. In less than 15 years and totally organically, UltiSat grew to a $100M, highly profitable business serving US and foreign governments, IGOs and NGOs. In 2017, UltiSat was acquired by Speedcast International, an Australian publicly listed global telecom, at which time Abutaleb led the formation and management of UltiSat as a Proxy company pursuant to DCSA and NISPOM regulations. The following year, after Speedcast acquired New York based Globecomm, he subsequently led the integration of UltiSat and the government related business of Globecomm into a combined new company, focused on government and critical infrastructure markets.

In 2011, Abutaleb was presented with the Technology Council of Maryland's prestigious Executive of the Year Award. While developing many industry-first technology solutions, he also co-authored a number of patents related to satellite and wireless technologies and network security solutions. Abutaleb holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree, with an emphasis in communications and microelectronics, from the University of Maryland. He also serves on several for-profit and non-profit boards and is an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
